What Is Direct Billing and How Is It Different from an Insurance Reimbursement Claim?
Method
What You Pay
Who Works with the Insurer
Direct Billing
Only expenses outside your insurance benefits, such as co-payments or non-covered services, if any.
Maple sends the required documentation and charges directly to the insurer.
Reimbursement Claim
The full treatment cost at the clinic first; your insurer reimburses the approved portion later.
You submit the claim with supporting documents provided by Maple.
Direct Billing does not mean that every expense is automatically covered. Your insurer evaluates the benefits, coverage limits, exclusions, deductibles and other policy requirements. If documentation is incomplete or the treatment does not qualify, you may need to pay upfront and submit a claim later.
Which Maple Clinics and Services Are Eligible for Direct Billing?
Direct Billing is available at Maple’s Thao Dien, District 3 and District 7 clinics. It may apply to the following services, subject to your policy:

Physiotherapy: electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, and spinal and soft-tissue traction
Muscle Release Therapy / Sports Massage (MRT / Sport Massage): 30, 60 or 90 minutes
Stretch Therapy: 30, 60 or 90 minutes
The amount covered for each service depends on the benefits in your insurance policy.
